Precision mechanics assemble tools for the automotive industry according to technical specifications and install them for customers worldwide. You measure and test mechanical parameters and also take care of the maintenance of the machines; continuous training and further education are part of your job. Your tasks include programming computer-controlled machine tools and operating manual milling and turning machines.

The qualification "master precision mechanic" is a further vocational training. The training takes approx. 5-12 months full-time and approx. 1-2 years part-time). Master precision mechanics are employed, for example, in the project management, costing and production planning departments or as department managers/team leaders.
